Samaritan Counseling Center recognizes the unique needs of the pastor and pastoral family. As well, we understand the organization and needs of the church at each level. Our work with faith-based organizations is an expression of the Center’s mission statement.
Individual Clergy Consultations
The most frequently cited reason for leaving the pastorate is burn out. Burn out is the product of many stressors coming together in the life of a minister. Knowing how to spot these stressors and then how to handle them successfully can keep you fresh in ministry.
Clergy Family Consultations
Stress in the ministry is stress in the parsonage. Everyone feels it and it impacts each family member in a different way. It is often unspoken and unrecognized until a crisis arises. If your family is experiencing a crisis in the parsonage or is experiencing stress at a lower level, learn how to handle it as a family unit.
Service Providers
Counseling and consultation services are provided by licensed staff therapists with additional training on the unique needs of clergy. Our staff is actively involved with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
Service Costs
Some medical insurances cover the cost of therapy. Otherwise an adjusted fee can be negotiated with the individual therapist.
Confidentiality
The couples relationship to the therapist and the center is a private matter. All information is kept confidential.
