Ray Stees is a Spirituality Guide at the Center, completing 35 years as an ordained United Methodist pastor. His extensive training is through a rich variety of denominations including Samaritan Counseling Center of the Capital Region (Ecumenical), Clergy Leadership Institute (Episcopal), Lombard Mediation Skills Institute (Mennonite), Albany Diocese Consultation Center (Roman Catholic), and Capital Region Theological Center (Ecumenical). Ray holds a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Drew University in addition to a Master of Social Work from the State University of New York.
Ray works collaboratively with clients helping them shape their unique spiritual paths. He draws deeply from an “Appreciative Inquiry” approach which honors a person’s strengths, discovers helpful resources to attain goals, and springboards the best of their past into their desired future.
